I lifted my eyes to his accusingly “So Mr. I Know everything what do we do now” I muttered, he glanced at me and then looked away his cheeks enflamed with embarrassment.
He twitched his cat like ears to the west “if we want to escape the battle now we must travel north to EmbaKigo” he replied, I smiled “Smart arse!” I called as I flapped my jet black wings and flew into the air like a bullet.
He let out a chuckle as he dashed forwards through the undergrowth like a cheetah stupid half breed vampire I thought to myself as I flew after him.
He stopped abruptly infront of a large mass of water that spreaded out for miles and miles on end, his eyes lay on mine as his mind sped through the options we had.
His eyes flickered onto mine and a smug smile appeared on his almost perfect features, I let out a groan “You’re not thinking what I think you’re thinking are you?” I asked, his smile grew brighter “You bet ya”.
I grabbed him under the arms and hoisted him into the air “Are you sure about this I could drop you” I murmured putting him back onto the ground.
His eyes grew stern “Loriet if we let this get in our way now we could get stuck in the midst of a hot battle” he replied.
“Fine” I muttered as my body molded my bones shifted with deafening crunches and my face disappeared and was replaced by one of a creature that struck fear into the hearts of all that had ever met me.
I let out a snarl as he pushed himself up onto my jet black furred back and grabbed onto the tuffs of fear that lined my shoulder blades, I let out one last roar my ruby eyes gleaming as I shot into the air my gray wings pushed against the air current.
Max let go of my fur and stuck his arms out to feel the air against his human arms watch out of I might just let you fall this time I hissed tauntingly in his mind.
He smiled “I don’t think you would ever do something so mean to me kitty” he said his smile smug, I let out an annoyed hiss and shot towards the blue water my wings pulled tightly to my sides.
He let out a laugh as we dived towards the crystal clear water, I felt one of his hands stroking my fur and the other still holding on for dear life.
The moment was ruined when I felt two bullets go wizzing past me only missing us by a couple of centimeters, Shit! What the hell is going on now! I yowled to him.
“I don’t know” he said glancing over his shoulder “Oh Shit! We are in trouble Lor!” he shouted tugging on my fur.
I stopped and turned around, there standing a few meters infront of us were three unmistakable OutTakers.
The OutTakers were half human half beast but all evil, they had a human face, crimson red wings and fur that covered the rest of their bodies it was jet black almost the same as mine, they had scars the were red lining their bare chests and claws the shot out from their human finger tips.
The worst thing of all was those eyes so human and yet so wild red and raging ready to rip the flesh of any living being that tried to take them on.
What scared me the most was Jak the leader of the OutTakers I watched him tears forming in my eyes and rolling down my black furry cheeks.
Come home Jak I pleaded watching him advance towards us “I Am Home!” he yowled his red eyes filled with pure hatred and fury, he flew towards us his claw extended Please come home! I roared.
He didn’t stop to think of my pleas he just continued forwards Jak… I began but I was cut off short when his claws sliced through my shoulder blood gushed from the wound and flowed down my black shoulders droplet falling into the crystal water.
“You sick Bastard!” Max shouted his hands pulled into tight fists, Jak smirked “What you going to do about it kitty, going to go and cry to mommy” he taunted.
Max glared towards Jak claws cutting out of his knuckles leaving small trails of blood down his hands, “Ooo what are you gonna do now make us be you’re blood brothers” another OutTaker chuckled.
Jak smirked again “Bring it on Pussy Boy” he hissed as he flew towards us again, Max jumped from my back flipping twice and landing on Jak’s shoulders.
He kicked him twice before jumping back onto my shoulders, “Go get him Loriet!” he yowled his command sent spasms down my muscles I had to obey his commands.
I nodded flapping my wings to gain speed and I shot towards them my fangs bared the blood trickling from my side was making me feel kinda woozy.
Max flipped from my shoulders and landed in the middle of Jak’s back “This is for Lor!” he snarled slashing his claws into the flesh of Jak’s shoulder.
The OutTaker let out a cry of pain before plummeting towards the crystal water, I watched in agony as Jak hit the water with a splash, as his body resurface blood from his wound floated into the water turning it from crystal to crimson red.
I let out a cry of defeat as I flew towards him, Jak!!!! I wailed as I shot down towards the crimson water “Loriet! No!!!!” Max shouted but I couldn’t listen Jak came first this time.
I grabbed him and pulled him over my shoulders his unconscious body sagged over my black furred sides, the other OutTakers flew towards me their claws extended and their eyes raging.
“Loriet!” Max cried from were he was floating in the air, he watched the monsters fly towards me.
I dodged to the side but Jak as well as the loss of blood slowed my down, I felt a sharp gab in my side followed by another on my other side, I let out a yowl of defeat as they pulled Jak from my shoulders flying away with him I fell towards the water not even bothering to resist if I cant be with him then I shall die as this I wailed as I hit the water the immense power overwhelmed me.
